Athlete Agreement

Creating and maintaining an athlete profile is free. You are never charged simply for registering or for being listed.

You confirm that the information in your profile — sport, event, challenge, location, audience information and available placements — is accurate and kept up to date.

You must not misrepresent your participation in an event or your audience.

A planned service fee of 10% applies to eligible sponsorship deals arranged through the platform. It is calculated on the sponsorship amount only, not on production costs or shipping.

The fee is explained to you before you agree to a deal. It is not deducted automatically: in the current version of the platform, sponsorship funds are paid directly by the sponsor to you, and the service fee is invoiced and settled according to what is agreed in writing.

The payment deadline and the process for handling unpaid fees are set out in the written deal record you accept. We do not charge athletes silently.

You are responsible for taking part in the event or completing the challenge you described, and for carrying the agreed placements as agreed.

If you cannot take part, you must tell the sponsor and us as soon as possible so a replacement, alternative or refund can be arranged.

Competition and advertising rules vary by event, organizer and federation. You are responsible for confirming that sponsorship placements are permitted.

BackMyChallenge does not verify or guarantee permission for any placement.

You agree to provide reasonable proof that the placement was carried — for example photographs, video or a social post after the event.

You grant the sponsor the rights agreed for the placement, and you grant us permission to show the produced branding as production work where you consent to it.

You may refuse any sponsor. You must not carry placements that are unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or otherwise prohibited by the event or by applicable law.

You are responsible for declaring and paying any tax due on sponsorship income you receive.

You can stop using the platform at any time. We may remove profiles or campaigns that breach this agreement or misrepresent facts.
