Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
This policy covers production orders placed with BackMyChallenge and explains what happens when a sponsorship arrangement changes.
1. Before production starts
If you cancel before production of your order has begun, the order is eligible for cancellation and refund of amounts paid for that order.
2. After customized production has started
Custom-branded items are made to your specification. Once production has started, production costs may be non-refundable in whole or in part, depending on how far the order has progressed.
3. After shipment
Once an order has shipped, shipping costs may be non-refundable. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods are handled separately — contact us with photographs so we can agree a remedy.
4. If the athlete withdraws
If an athlete cannot carry the agreed placement, we will work with both sides on a replacement athlete, an alternative placement, or a refund of the relevant amounts, depending on what has already been produced.
Sponsorship amounts paid directly between sponsor and athlete are settled between them under their own agreement.
5. If the event is cancelled
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, the options are normally to move the placement to the new date, apply it to an alternative event, or refund what has not yet been produced or shipped.
6. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy overrides mandatory consumer rights that apply to you under the law of your country, including rights relating to faulty goods.
7. How to request a cancellation or refund
Contact us with your order details and the reason as early as possible. The earlier we hear, the more options are available.
