Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 September 2026

These terms apply to everyone who uses BackMyChallenge — athletes, sponsors, event organizers and visitors.

1. Who we are and what we do

BackMyChallenge is a sponsorship marketplace that helps athletes, fitness creators, sports communities and event organizers connect with brands and sponsors.

We also provide custom branding production services, including temporary tattoos, apparel branding and sports-related promotional products. Marketplace services and production services are separate services and may be governed by different terms.

2. Our role

We facilitate connections. We are not a party to the sponsorship agreement between an athlete and a sponsor unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

We do not guarantee that a sponsorship will be offered, accepted, completed or paid. We do not guarantee impressions, reach, sales or any commercial outcome.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or enter into a sponsorship arrangement through the platform.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.

4. How sponsorships work today

In the current version of the platform, sponsors and athletes discuss, agree and pay each other directly. BackMyChallenge does not hold, transfer or escrow sponsorship funds, and the platform does not process sponsorship payments.

Where we record an agreed deal, we do so administratively. A recorded deal does not make us a paying or receiving party.

5. Athlete service fee

A planned athlete service fee of 10% may apply to eligible sponsorship deals arranged through the platform.

The fee basis, payment deadline and collection process are set out in the Athlete Agreement and are explained before an athlete agrees to a deal. We do not charge athletes silently, and we do not automatically deduct the fee from sponsorship funds in the current version of the platform.

Registering and maintaining an athlete profile is free.

6. Production services

Custom production is quoted per order based on product, quantity, artwork and destination. Production and shipping timelines depend on those factors and are confirmed per order.

Details are set out in the Production & Shipping Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Event rules and permissions

Competition and advertising rules vary by event, organizer and federation. Athletes are responsible for confirming that sponsorship placements are permitted.

We do not verify or guarantee that any placement is allowed at any event.

8. Acceptable use and content

You may not use the platform for unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, sexually explicit or harmful content, or to promote products you are not authorized to promote.

You must hold the rights to any logo, artwork or content you upload, and you grant us the permissions needed to produce and fulfil your order.

9. Intellectual property

Brand assets remain the property of their owners. Uploading a logo for production does not transfer ownership.

Appearance of a third-party logo in our production photographs does not indicate partnership, sponsorship or endorsement.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct of athletes, sponsors or event organizers, for sponsorship payments made directly between them, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be reflected in the last-updated date above.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
